The Connecticut Republican Assembly is a chapter of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies (NFRA), which is the grassroots movement to take back the Republican Party for the vast and disenfranchised majority of its members: Reagan conservatives, who believe in small government, lower taxes, free market capitalism, a strong defense, the right to life, and a decent America.
The best symbol of the grassroots worker I can think of is the Republican Assembly... thousands of dedicated men and women are the ones who turn all those modernistic campaign devices into real votes... I know from personal experience. It's hard to imagine my campaigns being anywhere near as successful as they were without the dedication of Republican Assembly members.

President Ronald Reagan
“In America, statistics show that less than 5 percent of the registered voters actively participate within the fabric of politics (e.g. political participation beyond voting). Within that small number, there is an even smaller percentage that comprises the leadership of both liberal and conservative activists. Within these tiny percentages, the fate of the nation resides.”
Senator H.L. Richardson (ret.), CONFRONTATIONAL POLITICS

The purpose of the CTRA is to recruit, organize and mobilize Connecticut conservatives, to be effective, even as a “tiny percentage.”

We are the Republican wing of the Republican Party, the home of the Frederick Douglass Republicans, and “The conscience of the Republican Party,” asĀ President Ronald Reagan said.
Founded in 1934 some have called us the TEA Party before there was a TEA Party. We support true Republican candidates, endorse in primaries and work to restore the Republican Party to the values and principles of the Party of Reagan.
